About the Role:

As the People Lead at Seel, you will play a pivotal role in building the foundations of everything People at Seel. This is your opportunity to be a true builder of a world class People organization. Your first priority will be the design and implementation of best class talent acquisition processes and systems. As part of this you will play a key role in identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent for our growing team and lead the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring a seamless experience for candidates and hiring managers. As the company scales it is expected that you will grow a team to help you flex your experience to also build out Culture, the Employee Experience, HR, Compensation and Benefits and much more in service of contributing to Seel's mission of scaling e-commerce with innovative insurance solutions.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies that align with Seel's mission and values.
  • Collaborate with marketing and leadership to build and promote Seel's employer brand in the market.
  • Design and implement the full recruitment lifecycle for a variety of roles, from job posting and sourcing to interviewing, selection, and offer negotiations with a core focus on the candidate experience.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements and create effective job descriptions that attract the right candidates.
  • Source candidates through diverse channels, including LinkedIn, job boards, networks, and partnerships, and build a strong talent pipeline.
  • Conduct phone screens, interviews, and manage interview scheduling and feedback.
  • Track recruitment metrics to evaluate hiring progress and continuously improve our hiring practices.

People Operations (HR)
  • Partner with company leadership, finance and functional teams to ensure thoughtful headcount planning.
  • Assist with onboarding new hires, coordinating orientation, and facilitating introductions to company processes and culture.
  • Handle HR administrative tasks, including record-keeping and employee data management, scheduling, and process improvements.
  • Own payroll and benefits administration and well as HR systems and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.

Culture & Employee Experience
  • Help ensure our teammates are engaged, satisfied, and productive.
  • Design and implement systems to promote Seel's culture and values in the everyday experience of our team.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, gathering feedback and assisting in event planning.
  • Design programs to grow employee skills and support career development.

Compensation, Benefits & Performance Management
  • Structure competitive and fair total rewards packages through salary benchmarking and structuring.
  • Designing bonus and equity programs as well as compensation strategy for employee retention.
  • Design and implement feedback and review cycles along with rewards and recognition programs.

Qualifications:
  • Passion for building a high performance People organization that will realize the full potential of People to change the slope of a business.
  • Experience: 6-8 years of experience in the People organization in a mission & culture driven fast-paced or high-growth environment, with particular expertise in Talent Acquisition ideally centered around the build out of sales organizations.
  • Skill Set: Proven experience managing the full recruitment cycle, with expertise in sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates across various functions.
  • Ability to Pattern Match and Implement Best in Class People Process and Systems: Demonstrated understanding of best practices across HR, Culture & Employee Experience, Compensation, Benefits and Performance Management.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders and represent Seel effectively.
  • Organization: Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work independently in a dynamic and evolving environment, with a proactive approach to solving challenges.
