Job Description
Cresset is seeking an Associate, Bill Pay and Bookkeeping, who will operate within our CFO Services team. This position is hands-on, requiring experience in bill payment, including classification and recording of bank account and credit card details, and experience in bookkeeping including recording all transactions for a given entity, and production of basic financial reports. Understanding of operational accounting, cash management, and payroll functions are important to success. This role will have direct interaction with Cresset Family Office clients serving the needs of high-net worth individuals, families, and business owners in a fiduciary capacity. This position will report directly to the Managing Director, CFO Services.
Key Responsibilities
Family entity bookkeeping, which may include individuals, revocable trusts, or other related entities
Timely, accurate, and reliable bill pay
Cash management services including ensuring sufficient funds to make required payments
General ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations, and cost allocations
Maintain sources and uses of cash reporting for family members
Support financing and financial operations related to residential holdings and acquisitions
Interface with clients, and client advisors (investment, tax, other), and others on CFO Services team to ensure excellent communication takes place
Qualifications
Education and/or 3+ years of experience in accounting, or bookkeeping and bill pay activities, with direct experience working within General Ledger systems (e.g. QuickBooks)
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent time management skills including multi-tasking and prioritizing of responsibilities across multiple points of contact in a deadline-driven environment
Exceptional problem-solving capabilities in an entrepreneurial environment
Solid skills and experience using Microsoft Office products, including and most importantly, Excel
Ability to work independently and collaborate as a team
Additional Pluses - not required but could indicate growth potential within the team
Bachelor's Degree or above in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or Business
CPA
Proficient understand of accounting and tax principals

Salary will be based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, licenses/certifications, industry knowledge, and geographic location.
