The Housing Authority of the City of Fairbury seeks a qualified leader to manage staff and administer 58 units of Public Housing. Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred, and/or 5 years of public housing or regulatory agency experience preferred. The position is responsible to a five-member Board of Commissioners. Must possess or acquire PHM certification within 24 months of employment. Must have experience with budgets, reports, policy development, payroll, maintenance and building operations, public relations personnel management, marketing, computer applications, grant writing, and grant funds management. The successful applicant will demonstrate clear verbal and written communication skills; effective time management skills; ability to multi-task; initiative; strong leadership skills; and creative thinking for development of future programs. Must be bondable. Must have a valid state issued driver's license. Background checks including criminal history will be conducted on final candidates.
