The Department of Urology at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is seeking outstanding candidates for a faculty position specializing in Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery/Urogynecology.
Essential Job Functions:
Function as an attending physician at University of Miami Hospital and Clinics (UMHC), Jackson Memorial Hospital (JMH), and Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) including responsibility for coverage of inpatient and outpatient cases as well as operating room supervision of residents and outpatient clinics in the Ambulatory Care Centers
Perform clinical activities through the University of Miami Medical Group (UMMG) clinical practice plan as well as supervise and teach residents and fellows both in inpatient and outpatient settings. This includes surgical activities at UMHC, JMH, and VA
Will also provide in-patient consultations and emergency on-call
Requirements:
M.D. from accredited medical school
board eligibility / certification in Urology
Previous training in an accredited or unaccredited 1 year fellowship with Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) and/or Urogynecology is required
The University of Miami, Department of Urology has a highly respected faculty practice with robust inpatient and outpatient consultation services, and a residency training program. Urology faculty participate in education of fellows, residents, and medical students through conferences, mentoring, and clinical teaching. Duties will include providing direct patient care to adult inpatients and outpatients in the University of Miami faculty practice or other satellite clinics, and inpatient consult services at the University of Miami Hospitals and Jackson Memorial Hospital.
