About the Role:
We are seeking a Director of Infection Prevention to lead infection control efforts at a 600+ bed regional medical center. This role is responsible for developing and managing infection prevention programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and leading a team of specialists to protect patient and staff safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and oversee infection control policies and programs in compliance with TJC, CMS, OSHA, and state regulations.
Lead surveillance, outbreak investigations, and infection risk management.
Educate staff on infection prevention protocols and best practices.
Collaborate with the CDC, local health departments, and senior leadership on infection-related matters.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's in Public Health preferred.
Experience: 5+ years in infection control, with leadership experience in a large acute care facility.
Licensure/Certification: Active RN license (Georgia preferred) and CIC certification required.
Leadership: At least 2 years in a leadership role, managing teams and infection prevention operations.
