Job Description:

The Release Manager 1 is responsible for participating in telecommunications discovery, and implementation initiatives within defined timeframes, including VoIP discovery efforts, branch deployments, special voice services projects, and consolidations.
  • This position gathers and defines business requirements and conducts solution design reviews.
  • The Release Manager 1 also collaborates with Business Continuity and participates in the facilitation of IT Voice Services discovery efforts.
  • This position is responsible for analyzing and evaluating the telecommunications systems, networks, and data.
  • This position will provide business analysis and recommendations, technical support for associated voice services applications, design, implementation, and consulting support for projects related to voice technology.
  • The Release Manager 1 could also interface with Operations personnel, external vendors and local telecom carriers.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Organizes assigned activities across telecommunications applications, teams, and projects; accountable for dependency management within the scope of assigned telecommunications release components.
  • Collaborates with team members to ensure execution of release adheres to the plan and timeline.
  • Maintains release documentation and archives; stays abreast of future IT telecommunications maintenance activities.
  • Practices adherence to the organization's release and change management processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Completes assigned projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines with minimal management involvement.
  • Collaborates with vendors and/or customers throughout the execution of tasks and activities.
  • Collaborates with essential department team members to understand voice services operations and technologies.
  • Tracks progress and reports to internal teams and external sponsors when needed.
  • Conducts and participates in discovery efforts to uncover location voice services designs.
  • Performs analytical, technical, and administrative support in the planning, designing, testing, and implementation of telecommunication projects.
  • Monitors voice solution performance and troubleshoots any issues.
  • Escalates maintenance issues, including repair and moves, adds, changes.
  • Makes telecommunications-related recommendations to improve business functions and services.
  • Works with the internal team to recommend additional resource needs.
  • Implements process improvement measures and maintains support documentation.
  • Keeps up-to-date with the latest advancements in telecommunications technology and industry trends.

Required Skills, Competencies, Experience:
  • Telecommunication systems/IVR experience 3 plus years
  • Preferred Skills, Competencies, Experience:
  • Experience with technology services or system installation with vendor
  • training; computer/telephony integration (VoIP), disaster recovery, telephony and related products
  • Experience in IT project coordination or similar.

Pay Range: $35-55

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
