Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field- Advanced degree preferred
Licensed CPA or Law Degree
Five to eight years tax experience, with emphasis on high income, high net-worth individuals with complex tax situations.
Experience building and managing prospective and existing client relationships.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Familiarity with tax preparation and bookkeeping software
Experience with ProSystems tax preparation and Sage 50 Accounting software a plus
Strong organizational, analytical and technical skills.
Excellent in verbal and written communication.
Exceptional attention to detail.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the preparation, review and sign individual, trust, estate, gift and partnership tax returns.
Answer specific tax issues raised by tax preparers and professional staff. Provide research as needed.
Maintain proficiency in tax law, analyze changes in the tax law and research tax law to ensure compliance and develop effective tax planning strategies.
Provide training and development to tax professionals and other AMG staff, advise on tax law developments.
Provide audit support for clients as needed.
Actively market and promote the firm to potential clients.
Evaluate and develop efficient and improved procedural systems for the delivery of tax services.
Maintain a thorough understanding of tax department policies and procedures.
