We are seeking a Senior Auditor that will help lead audit engagements for Government, nonprofit organizations and Employee Benefit Plans, ensuring compliance with GAAP and relevant regulations. This role involves managing client relationships, guiding audit teams, and enhancing audit processes to deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise audit engagements for nonprofit organizations and Employee Benefit Plans
Ensure compliance with GAAP and GAAS regulations during audits
Establish and maintain strong client relationships to understand their needs and concerns
Conduct financial statement analysis and provide insights for improvements
Mentor and train junior audit staff, fostering a collaborative team environment
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance audit efficiency and effectiveness
Stay updated on government auditing standards and regulatory changes affecting clients
Prepare and present audit findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA certification or equivalent certification preferred
Minimum of 3 years of auditing experience, preferably in Government and nonprofit organizations
Strong understanding of GAAP, GAAS, GASB, and regulatory compliance
Proficiency with accounting software, including ProSystem FX and CaseWare
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
