Assistant Controller-Atlanta, GA Position Overview The Assistant Controller will support the financial management of the organization by overseeing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and assisting in the development of financial strategies. This role is pivotal in maintaining accurate financial records and providing insights that drive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll
Support cash management processes to optimize liquidity and financial performance
Collaborate with the Controller in developing budgets and forecasts
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of ERP systems to improve financial reporting and compliance
Prepare and analyze financial reports for management and stakeholders
Assist in the coordination of audits and ensure timely completion of year-end processes
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, Masters preferred
CPA or CMA designation preferred
5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
Experience with ERP systems and financial software
Supervisory Accounting role expereince required
Proficient in cash management practices
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
