We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing construction and engineering projects from start to finish. You will be responsible for ensuring quality control, safety, environmental compliance, and cost control. This role will be working on a project in SLC but will regional travel throughout the Mountain Region will also be required. Key Responsibilities
Assist PM's by performing in-field engineering, site surveying, and quality control duties
Assist PM's in selecting and managing subcontractors and suppliers
Perform quality control and take corrective action when needed
Managing the project life cycle and ensuring that all requirements are met
Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
Assisting with estimating, bidding, and tendering for projects
Coordinating with other departments, internal and external stakeholders, and customers to ensure the project is completed on time and to budget
Utilize AutoCAD software for graphical representations of projects
Perform remediation and environmental assessments as needed
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in a similar role working on Civil Construction Projects
5+ years of quality control/assurance testing and site surveying
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Resource Management, Construction Management, or related field required
PE or EIT a major plus.
Proven experience in earthwork, dirt-work, and mass excavation.
Quality Control/Engineering certifications a plus
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and other engineering software
Knowledge of estimating and tendering
