Steel Fabrication Estimator Position Overview The Steel Fabrication Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates for steel fabrication projects. This role involves analyzing project specifications, costs, and requirements to ensure accurate and competitive bids. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in estimation, knowledge of steel fabrication processes, and proficiency in Excel.
Key Responsibilities
Review project specifications and drawings to determine scope of work.
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for steel fabrication projects.
Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs to formulate competitive bids.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify project requirements.
Maintain accurate records of estimates and project documentation.
Utilize Excel for data analysis and cost tracking.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an estimator in the steel fabrication industry is a PLUS
Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Drafting, Engineering, or Related Field
Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes and pricing.
Enhanced Computer Skills in a PLUS
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other estimating software.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
