Typical Day in the Life:
As a Tax Manager/Senior Manager, you'll:
Lead staff to ensure timely, accurate completion of individual and business tax returns.
Review, approve, and sign off on tax returns for client distribution.
Mentor and support staff to help them enhance their skills and further their careers.
Gather and analyze tax-related information from clients to prepare accurate returns.
Apply multiple perspectives to tax situations to maximize client benefits.
Network and build relationships to attract new clients and business opportunities.
Manage billing for services provided.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Experience: Prior public accounting experience, with 5-7 years in tax-related work.
Certification: Active CPA or EA license.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in Healthcare, Dentists, Professional Services, Real Estate, and/or Manufacturing industries is preferred.
Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Leadership experience within the tax field.
Exposure to a variety of industries and the ability to interpret financial statements.
