**This position requires a home base in the assigned territory + 70% travel.**
Position Description: The Technical Services Representative is the primary service and sales support contact for customers in an assigned territory, maintaining sales revenue and identifying ways to incrementally increase sales revenue while establishing strong, trusting, mutually respectful relationships. This position reports to the Technical Services Manager.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and service assigned customer accounts
Be a strong technical service resource for potential and existing customer accounts, as well as for Company-selected industry associations
Increase incremental sales revenue by identifying additional sales opportunities within the customer accounts and locations within an assigned geographical territory
Establish strong, trusting, and mutually respectful relationships with existing customers, as well as allied vendors serving the same customer base
Report market and competitor intelligence information to Company
Assist other Company representatives in the field as needed
Assist with installing, maintaining, and repairing Company dispensing systems at customer locations as needed
Serve in Company-selected local and/or national trade associations
Assist with research & development and tradeshow activities as needed
Other duties that may be assigned by the Technical Services Manager
Qualifications:
2 or more-year college degree (4-year technical degree preferred) AND/OR at least 5 years concrete products market experience.
Technical sales experience or aptitude required
Concrete or concrete products technical experience
Electrical and mechanical aptitude required
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills (both written & verbal) required, including conflict management & dealing with sometimes hostile customers
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to work as a one-person team for extended periods of time
Proficient using a PC; good typing skills
Proficient using the following computer software: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint); SharpSpring or similar contact management software a plus
Fluency in spoken & written English
Fluency in spoken & written Spanish a significant plus
This position requires extensive weekly travel (up to 70% of the time) by car and plane
