The Quality Control Manager is fully responsible for executing the field quality control management from award to close-out. It is expected that the Quality Control Manager will be responsible for a single project and will be on-site during the entire construction process on the site. The primary outcome for the quality control manager is a successful, as defined below, completion of the field operations for a single project. The Quality Control Manager models and acts in accordance with MCS's mission, vision, core values, leadership competencies, and norms.
The following key accountabilities ensure the critical success of this position:
q Coordinate and be accountable for all day-to-day Quality Control operations and communication to ensure quality completion of the project. • Participate in Post Award and develop a complete understanding of the project including reading the RFP, Project Specifications and Project Drawings. • Understand the project schedule and assist the PM and Superintendent in development of overall project schedule. • Manage the Quality Control Program including scheduling and coordination of subcontractors and materials deliverables • Manage assigned QC crew. • Complete Quality Control paperwork and import as needed into Government software. • Understand subcontractor scopes, inter-relationships and schedule requirements. • Inspect project daily • Assist Superintendent in maintaining a clean, safe project site • Schedule inspections and oversight requirements • Compile Daily Quality Control Reports, Daily • Guide and direct field employees, subcontractors and suppliers • Explain quality control standards and ensure their implementation • Ensure project is built to quality standards • Strove for no loss-time incidents or re-work items • Attend Preconstruction meeting • Attend weekly project coordination meetings • Oversee project quality requirements • Prepare and oversee project punch list and final inspections • Project Close-Out Inspection

Education: • Five plus years as a project quality control manager or superintendent or similar role
Professional Qualifications and Experience: • 5 Years experience as project superintendent • Contract Language Review and Analysis • OSHA 30-hour and EM385-40 hour safety training • USACE / NAVFAC CQM training
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Understand and use Government QC software such as RMS and/opr EcMS • Understand and use Scheduling software
Languages • Fluent in written and spoken English. Bilingual preferred.
