Job Description:

New full time opportunity for a Mechanical Inspector to lead and oversee new construction at a large-scale federal campus. This person must have prior experience with oversight of mechanical system installation, design/spec reviews, and experience with material take-offs.

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical components meet established quality standards and specifications. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our products and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The Mechanical Inspector will utilize various inspection tools and techniques to assess product quality, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing processes.

Duties
  • Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical components using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and coordinate measuring machines.
  • Perform visual inspections utilizing vision inspection systems to identify defects or non-conformities in products.
  • Collect and analyze data related to product quality, ensuring adherence to CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Collaborate with the QA/QC team to implement and maintain quality management systems in accordance with ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records for compliance and traceability.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for non-conformance issues and assist in developing corrective actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on inspection processes and quality metrics.

Experience
  • Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with quality management principles, including ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and CGMP regulations.
  • Proficient in data collection techniques and analysis related to mechanical inspections.
  • Experience using various inspection tools, including calipers, coordinate measuring machines, and vision inspection systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
