The Senior Quality Engineer- Lead will be responsible for leading the quality assurance team in the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with AS9100 standards. The Senior Quality Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring that quality processes are followed throughout production, and will serve as a point of contact for technical guidance on quality-related issues. This position plays a key role in ensuring product conformance, driving root cause analysis, and supporting corrective actions to maintain the highest level of quality performance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Manage and provide assistance for all quality-related functions including in process, receiving, final and calibration inspection and selection of appropriate tools.
Oversee and provide leadership to the quality team in ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards, ISO 9001, and customer requirements.
Act as a subject matter expert on quality processes, offering technical support and guidance to team members and other departments.
Conduct and lead quality inspections and audits of products, processes, and systems, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Assist in the development and implementation of quality plans, procedures, and work instructions.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes to address non-conformances, defects, and customer complaints.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor and track quality performance metrics, providing reports and insights to management.
Assist in internal and external audits, including preparing necessary documentation and coordinating audit activities.
Mentor and train quality team members on best practices and AS9100 compliance.
Support the Operations Manager in ensuring the effective implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS).

Follow all Company policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in a quality assurance role within an AS9100-certified or aerospace manufacturing environment.
Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
Experience with quality tools such as root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
Proficiency in quality management software and tools (e.g., ERP, MRP systems).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively across teams.
Experience in leading quality audits and inspections.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and other mandatory safety equipment.
For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.

Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday.
