The Opportunity
The Plant Engineer role, based in Pittsburgh, PA, offers an exciting opportunity to drive manufacturing excellence through capital project management and process optimization. This position combines hands-on engineering expertise with strategic project leadership in a dynamic manufacturing environment. ??
Compensation
Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000

Key Responsibilities
Lead capital projects from conception through implementation, including estimation, justification, and budget management
Develop and execute engineering and safety reviews for manufacturing processes
Provide technical support for day-to-day operations and maintenance activities
Implement process improvements using lean technologies
Conduct HAZOP studies and manage safety-based facility upgrades
Establish manufacturing standards and monitor plant performance metrics
Commission new equipment and troubleshoot existing processes
Develop and deliver training programs for site personnel
Collaborate with finance on capital budgeting and forecasting ????
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Expertise in PLC systems, automation, and power distribution systems
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, utilities, and reliability engineering
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally
