We are looking for a self-starter Building Controls service technician to deliver the desired customer service experience. The goal is to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention and increases profitability. Proven track record as a Service Specialist and experience in service and support operations in a 24/7 environment. Controls, electronics, mechanics or operations and related engineering concepts (debugging, preventive maintenance, routine customer issues resolution, systems startup, design review meetings, configure DDC, PLC and/or DCS control algorithms, ).
Responsibilities
Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches
Tie workflow to schedule
Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks
Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
Produce timely and detailed service reports
Document processes
Operate vehicle in a safely manner and use field automation systems
Follow all company's filed procedures and protocols
Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings
Build positive relationships with customers
Skills
Proven field service experience
Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
English literacy
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
Understanding of the facilities' controls electrical and mechanical systems with the ability to debug
Familiarity with mobile tools and applications
Controls Experience - Tridium, Distech, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Rockwell. operation, and debugging training
Other useful technologies include: Scripting languages (VBA, Python, etc.)
Knowledge of Kepware OPC server, ThinManager, VMware is preferred.
Basic understanding of HVAC systems in large building automation systems.
Understanding of sequence of operations and P&IDs for HVAC and plant utilities
Associate's Degree in approved mechanical or electrical program, or proper background as determined by interview
