This role offers the opportunity to develop concepts into finished products, from design and fabrication to on-site installation.
This role is onsite in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Responsibilities
Design new products and refine existing product lines to meet new customer requirements.
Develop rough concepts into fully realized finished products.
Work across multiple disciplines, including structural design, stress analysis, mechanical and machine design, and machine control.
Utilize 2D and 3D CAD software (such as AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks) to create detailed designs and drafting.
Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) using software like ANSYS or NASTRAN for structural and stress analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project specifications are met from concept to installation.
Supervise fabrication and oversee field installations.
Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and clients to provide updates and technical information.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
6+ years of experience in a design role as a Mechanical Engineer.
Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred but not required.
Proficiency in both 2D and 3D CAD design and drafting (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks).
At least 2 years of experience with finite element analysis (FEA) software, such as ANSYS or NASTRAN.
Strong knowledge of machine design principles.
Experience in Heavy Industry design, including sectors such as Oil and Gas Drilling, Forest Products, Mining, Material Processing, Infrastructure, and Construction.
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse team. All training and materials provided in English.
Full-time availability and a willingness to manage projects from concept through to field installation.
