Position Overview
As an Industrial Engineer, you will act as a design authority for low to medium complexity engineering projects, contributing to the success of production startup and ramp-up initiatives. In this role, you will utilize your technical expertise to optimize manufacturing processes and ensure cost-effective project execution. This position reports to the Advanced Manufacturing Manager and will require occasional 2nd-shift availability.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support for production startups, testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
Develop and maintain essential manufacturing process documentation, including facility layouts, process flow charts, capacity/utilization studies, takt time assessments, time and motion studies, standard work procedures, cycle time analysis, and line balancing.
Assist in preparing proposals and presentations for engineering projects.
Use design verification checklists to ensure compliance with applicable standards and engineering guidelines.
Apply basic design thinking and design-for-excellence concepts to improve processes and outcomes.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Preferred:
Proficiency in manufacturing tools and methodologies, including Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, and Value Stream Mapping.
Experience with software and tools such as SAP, ProPlanner, FlexSim, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
Knowledge of Plan for Every Part (PFEP), labor routings, and other production planning concepts.
Strong project management skills with the ability to support cross-functional teams.
