Position Overview:
BD's Controllership and Regional Finance team supports annual revenues of ~$20B, operating globally across 9 business units and four regions. The Controllership group is responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting of BDs operating results and is a key function within global finance for compliance. In addition, with recent expanded scope, Controllership plays a critical role in understanding our global footprint and the economics resulting from our operations; specifically, as it relates to cash and foreign exchange.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to become a part of our newly developed intercompany profit-in-Inventory (PII) group at Becton, Dickinson and Company for the Americas region. The Senior Manager will be responsible for assisting in the transformation of our current processes, ensuring regional processes are aligned with the global PII framework, and monitoring the effectiveness of the PII process for the Americas region. The successful candidate will have a strong background in MedTech operations, accounting, supply chain manufacturing, and cross-functional collaboration. Additionally, they will possess a positive, can-do attitude while being comfortable with driving change and innovation.
Responsibilities:
Assist in implementing and maintaining the global PII process framework for the Americas region
Ensure alignment with BD's strategic goals and objectives.
Assist in identifying continuous improvement and best practices in PII management.
Drive research and resolution of PII related challenges for the Americas region
Prepare analysis using models and tools to explain PII variances
Monitor the effectiveness of the PII process for assigned areas of responsibility.
Provide data analysis that will identify gaps in transfer pricing and offer solutions
Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for PII performance and improvements
Manage talent assessment and development of direct reports
Foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning within the PII team.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key business partners.
Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in accounting/finance.
MBA/ CPA/ CMA preferred.
Experience
5+ years of relevant accounting experience with previous experience leading teams or projects preferred.
Financial experience supporting supply chain and manufacturing preferred.
Knowledge, skills, abilities
Strong understanding of MedTech operations, accounting, compliance, tax, and supply chain/manufacturing.
Experience in USGAAP/IFRS technical accounting and managing intercompany processes.
Knowledge of foreign currency, including foreign exchange hedging and cash flow forecasting.
Ability to analyze intercompany profit and supply chain data to provide enterprise-wide insights.
Proficiency in financial systems and tools (SAP, JDE, BPC) and Microsoft Office.
Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to build credibility, influence stakeholders, and drive high-impact solutions.
Resilience, adaptability, and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
Excellent collaboration, relationship-building, and communication skills.
