Description:

St. Anthony Health & Rehabilitation skilled nursing community is looking for a Full-time Business Office Manager to join their administrative team!

The Business Office Manager is responsible for all accounting activities related, but not limited, to billing, analysis and collection of accounts receivable, payer eligibility, communication with third party payers, month end closing and reporting. Assist with training of community staff on duties essential for monthly billing and reporting. Monitoring on-site activities and reporting for accuracy.

Shift & Location: Day Shift, Monday-Friday

Location: exclusively on-site at St. Anthony Health & Rehabilitation in St. Anthony, MN

Salary Range: $70,000-$75,000 annual salary, based on experience

Essential Job Functions

  • Overall operation of business office in accordance with current standards, guidelines and established policies
  • Monthly billing of Private Pay, Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care for Skilled Nursing Facility.
  • Responsible for collection of all A/R and adherence to company collection policies and procedures.
  • Manage daily census, reconciling discrepancies with other departments
  • Verify payer eligibility and benefits. Obtain or verify prior authorizations
  • Responsible for cash management functions, including deposits, and resident trust account, and reconciliation
  • Working with residents, families, and government agencies to obtain Medicaid application approvals.
  • Provide quality customer service for residents and/or responsible parties.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Critical Skills

  • Technology proficient, including Excel, Word, billing software, clearinghouses, and UB claim form
  • Knowledge of basic generally accepted accounting principles
  • Must be able to deal tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
  • Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Be able to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
  • Communicate effectively in a manner that is sufficient for supervisors, team members, prospects, residents, and families.

Education and Experience

  • 2+ years Skilled Nursing billing and collections, including Medicare, Medicaid and Insurance billing
  • Minimum of 2-year accounting degree, or similar
