To be considered a qualified candidate for this position, you should have a good eye for detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, above-average troubleshooting and communication skills. Ultimately a topflight calibration technician will work quickly and methodically to ensure equipment is safe for operation and calibrated to the industry standards and produce testing equipment certifications.

What you will do:

• Calibrating and certifying equipment to industry standards. (ASTM, AASHTO, TXDOT, etc.)
• Traveling to clients’ location for equipment inspections.
• Maintaining calibration equipment, supplies and calibration records.
• Completing accurate calibration reports for customers using Microsoft Excel.
• Performing routine equipment maintenance.
• Troubleshooting equipment failures.
• Conducting equipment repairs.
• Suggesting equipment upgrades.
• Responding to client queries.

What you will bring:

• A high school diploma or GED with good math and typing skills, computer and spreadsheet experience.
• Relevant industry certification is preferred.
• Experience as a calibration technician is preferred.
• Extensive experience with equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for extended periods.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Extensive travel is required throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas with company supplied vehicle.
• Ability to travel extensively, and stay overnight; this would come with per diem at a GSA rate.
• Competency with calibration equipment and software including Microsoft Excel.
• A good driving record.
