SARA is looking for a remarkably talented, motivated, and experienced Personnel Security Administrative Assistant to support activities out of our Colorado Springs, CO location. This role reports to the Security Manager and performs administrative duties and responsibilities with an emphasis on Personnel Security. Qualified candidates should be well versed in administrative skills to include Microsoft office suite.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the day-to-day Personnel Security (PERSEC) policies, procedures, and processes to ensure 100% compliance within the scope of the 32 CFR Part 117, National Industry Security Program (NISPOM)
  • Assist with developing and conducting industrial security training in line with the NISPOM
  • Assist with annual security awareness/refresher briefings to employees
  • Conduct new hire security onboarding briefings
  • Process and maintain VARs for incoming visits and outgoing visits
  • POC for all Security clearance inquiries from employees
  • Process and maintain employee Foreign Travel (FT) records in DISS and coordinate FT paperwork with CPSO as necessary
  • Responsible for clearance investigations via eAPP, DISS, and NBIS databases: initiate appropriate investigation for personnel (to include initial, upgrades, and periodic updates) and review SF-86 paperwork for accuracy and submission to government
  • Assist with maintaining appropriate facility security databases, including but not limited to eAPP, SWFT, NISS, DISS, NBIS, and SIMS
  • Participate in rotation of on-call duties
  • Conduct random bag checks within the facility
  • Participate as needed in special department projects
  • Other duties as required

Requirements:

  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
  • Experience providing professional administrative/security support in U.S. Government or corporate office environment
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • May require light physical effort, involving standing, sitting, and use of hands while performing duties, carrying or lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Working environment is indoor, moderately quiet, reasonably clean, well-lighted and well-ventilated, moderate physical hazards may exist

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year of hands on FSO or Industrial Security experience
  • Secret Security clearance with ability to upgrade
  • FSO Program Management Curriculum

Pay Range

Salary at SARA is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $21.50 to $26.50 (hourly USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of SARA’s total compensation package for employees. Positions are on-site, unless indicated otherwise.
