Job Description:

INTRODUCTION TO ROLE



The Director, Commercial REMS Data & Insights is responsible for leading and managing data and insight strategies and tactics that support US Commercial activities related to REMS (Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies). This role is pivotal in ensuring REMS understanding by developing, implementing, and managing data and insight initiatives across the US Commercial landscape. Additionally, the Director will lead a team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring effective collaboration across teams.



ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:



REMS Data and Insights:


  • Act as the Commercial lead and support ongoing internal data and insight activities for all products and indications under the REMS.

  • Support the successful implementation of new REMS.



OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT AND VENDOR COORDINATION:


  • Manage and coordinate engagement with external vendors supporting Commercial REMS activities.

  • Execute operational strategies to support Commercial REMS effectiveness.



DAY-TO-DAY OPERATIONS:


  • Lead and oversee day-to-day Commercial data and insight operations related to REMS activities.

  • Participate in cross-functional workstreams for REMS launch and ensure ongoing success of the program.

  • Effectively handle budget as it relates to Commercial REMS data and insights and manage both internal staff and external teams.



COMMUNICATION AND PARTNERSHIP:


  • Facilitate internal communication between Commercial teams and external partners on REMS data and insight topics.

  • Collaborate with Commercial REMS vendors and Commercial colleagues to ensure operational alignment.

  • Build and maintain an effective training and communication plan to continue to support Commercial REMS data and insight changes.



DATA ANALYSIS, QUALITY, AND INTEGRITY:


  • Ensure the accuracy, quality, and integrity of Commercial REMS data used for analysis and reporting.

  • Develop and implement processes to maintain high data quality standards.

  • Utilize data sources to analyze and update operational strategies.

  • Be responsible for the design and presentation of critical metrics to leadership.



CROSS-FUNCTIONAL LEADERSHIP:


  • Lead cross-functional teams to implement data and insight initiatives for successful Commercial REMS engagement.

  • Partner with brand and training teams on data and insight needs.



PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:


  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews, set objectives, and provide feedback and coaching to team members.

  • Identify and address skill gaps, and facilitate training and development opportunities for team growth.




ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:



  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or business field.

  • 10+ years of experience in the biotechnology industry.

  • Experience in REMS leadership positions.

  • Consistent track record of high performance in operational roles.

  • Experience leading large, cross-functional projects.

  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to build strong partnerships.

  • Understanding of compliance regulations and guidance governing REMS programs.

  • High learning agility and interpersonal skills.

  • Prior experience in leading people and projects!

  • The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment. DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:



  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.

  • Experience with rare diseases or high-value biologics.

  • Broad experience across various Commercial functions (patient services, analytics, vendor management, marketing, sales, medical affairs).
