Traypack Machine Operator at Conagra Brands in Imlay City, Michigan

Job Description:

Shift: This role is 2nd Shift, 4:00 PM-12:00 AM

Hourly Rate: $19.99 an hour + $$0.25 shift differential

You will work onsite at Conagra's Imlay City, Michigan facility home of the Vlasic brand. You will work in a team environment. You will report to Production and Team Leads. You will be scheduled to work the afternoon shift. You will be assigned overtime based on production demand. You will receive $19.99/hr. plus $0.25/hr. shift premium.

What will you do?

The Tray pack Operator ensures the proper operation of the casing machines and shrink wrap devices. Machine set up verified following standard for production run. Perform routine quality verifications observing standard.

Responsibilities:

• You will operate the tray pack casing and shrink wrap machine.




• You will operate the mash coder including changes and setup.




• Monitor quality of operation such as coding, tray assembly, and label applications.




• Load tray blanks, stretch film and hot melt.




• Maintain machine and surrounding area is kept neat and sanitary.




• Communicate with co-workers, Production Lead, Quality Department and Team Lead.




• Train employees.




• Complete all paperwork observing standard work




• Interpret a variety of instructions/documents (English language) such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.




• Ensure actions remain consistent with plant safety goals and procedures.
