The VP, Corporate Controller will be responsible for the oversight of accounting operations for the business such as general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, cash management, fixed asset accounting, and local tax filings. This position also supports financial audits and monitors adherence to financial standards and regulations. The Controller will report to the CFO and manage a total team of 15.
DAILY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but not limited to):
Preparation and reporting of consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Researching and analyzing technical accounting issues as they develop
Establishing and maintaining documented internal controls, policies & procedures
Managing the month-end close process including monthly reconciliations and variance analysis
Assist in planning and coordinating quarterly and annual audits, as required
Coordinate and prepare necessary tax provision/return data for UPS and well as internally prepared sales and use tax returns or other returns, as required
Assist in preparing the annual budget plan
Streamline systems and processes and initiate corrective actions when necessary \
Oversee the training and development of accounting team, including providing the staff with the necessary guidance and training to fulfill their job responsibilities and giving them regular feedback on their job performance
Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by keeping current on changes in accounting standards (U.S. GAAP) and reporting practices
Other duties as assigned based on business need

Strong leadership, communication and demonstrable business analysis and presentation skills
Keen organizational and problem-solving skills with ability to multi-task essential
High level knowledge of MS Excel
NetSuite experience would be preferred
Ability to work with large amounts of complex data
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
Active CPA required
15+ years of accounting experience with progressive responsibilities, with minimum 5 years of experience leading an accounting team
