About the Career Opportunity

Pegasus is considering financial planning & analysis manager level candidates with 3-7+ years of relevant industry experience to lead the firm's finance and accounting department in Los Angeles. The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will manage all day-to-day finance and accounting functions for the firm in collaboration with third-party advisors. The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will also be involved in executive committee meetings to present key financial reporting data to ensure the firm's data-driven strategic growth process continues to be financially sound. The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager must demonstrate a genuine desire to gain increased exposure to, and build a career in, the commercial real estate advisory services industry.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, improve and implement the firm's financial strategy
  • Create and present corporate-level budgets and financial reports during regular intervals to assist the executive committee and other necessary parties with managing the P&L
  • Deliver variance reporting against budgets, prior year performance, and forecasts
  • Develop, enhance and enforce policies and procedures for the firm in order to improve overall operational efficiency and governance
  • Evaluate and improve current finance and accounting software and systems
  • Manage, process, onboard, train and reconcile payroll, benefits, and other employee benefit programs and systems
  • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and supervise the month-end close process of the business
  • Manage expense approvals and reimbursements
  • Work with tax and accounting professionals to ensure tax and corporate compliance

Education and Qualifications
  • 3-7 years of relevant experience
  • CPA, CFA, MBA and/or CMA, preferred
  • A Bachelor's degree from a top tier university, required

Relevant Skills and Experience
  • Capable of prioritizing initiatives, setting goals, and owning processes
  • Adept at identifying risk based on complex corporate-level budgeting or tax-specific scenarios
  • Excel at managing multiple priority projects to completion within agreed upon deadlines
  • Proven track record of consistently delivering high-quality and reliable output
  • Tenacious work ethic in a demanding, evolving, collaborative, and team-oriented environment
  • Effective at idea generation, strategic planning, and execution of initiatives
  • Demonstrate personal pride, accountability, and urgency in achieving results
  • Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of Products
  • Experience with Quickbooks Online accounting software, required
  • Proficiency in ADP WorkforceNow HR and Payroll software, preferred
