The Quality Manager will lead quality assurance initiatives for a single heavy industrial manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with quality standards, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining operational excellence. This role will oversee all quality processes, manage a team of quality professionals, and work closely with cross-functional teams to meet customer expectations and ensure regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities: • Quality Assurance Leadership: Implement and maintain quality management systems to meet operational and customer requirements. • ISO Compliance: Drive compliance with ISO standards and ensure documentation and processes align with organizational goals. • Corrective Actions: Lead investigations into quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. • Production Oversight: Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure quality standards are met at each stage of production. • Team Management: Manage and develop a team of quality professionals, providing training, mentoring, and performance management. • Customer Interactions: Work with customers to address quality concerns and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. • Metrics and Reporting: Develop, track, and report quality metrics, driving accountability and process improvements. • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance product quality and process efficiency, implementing best practices across the plant.
Required Qualifications: • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in quality management within a manufacturing environment. • ISO Standards: Strong knowledge of ISO standards and experience implementing or maintaining ISO certification. • Technical Expertise: Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including welding, painting, and fabrication. • Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. • Team Leadership: Proven experience managing and mentoring a quality team. • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Preferred Qualifications: • Industry Experience: Background in custom manufacturing, steel fabrication, or similar manufacturing industries. • Certifications: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certifications are a plus.
