Collaborates with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, and Planning to ensure accurate recipes and product features, including alternate recipes.
Develops deep knowledge of technical attributes of semi-finished materials and their impact on recipes, including ingredient blending and restrictions.
Troubleshoots technical issues when batches are out of specification, offering recommendations to address quality concerns.
Proficient in BC14 (business management software) and Nav Master (Samples), including creating item cards, production protocols, inspection plans, and production orders.
Updates and creates Standard Operating Procedures for both pilot-scale and large-scale processes, including external co-manufacturing.
Works with Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Applications teams to ensure new products meet labeling, quality, and food safety requirements.
Researches, tests, and develops ideas for new products that meet customer needs.
Collaborates with Sales, Technical Development, Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to start up new products.
Qualifies new suppliers, ingredients, packaging, farmers, and co-manufacturers from a technical and quality perspective.
Uses food science and manufacturing expertise to produce high-quality products in line with GNT and industry standards.
Qualifications:
3+ years of food/beverage manufacturing experience
3+ years of product development experience
Bachelor's degree in Food Science or Engineering
Solid background in laboratory/analytical instrumentation
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Willingness to travel
Experience with BC14/SAP/ERP software is preferred
