Position Overview
The Field Automation Engineer will play a crucial role in the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of automated systems across the company's production facilities. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience with industrial automation equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and troubleshoot automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and robotics.
Develop and implement control strategies to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and integrate new automation solutions.
Conduct system testing and validation to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Provide technical support and training to production staff on automated equipment.
Maintain detailed documentation of automation systems, including schematics, manuals, and maintenance logs.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in automation technology.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial automation or a similar role.
Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and other industrial control systems.
Knowledge of HMI/SCADA systems and robotic integration.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to travel to various production sites as needed
Anticipating annual travel between 50-75%.
