Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technician services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for a Proposal Engineer to join our team for a construction project.
-Project: Photovoltaic Plant
-Estimated duration of the position: 5years - In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.
-Main Responsibilities:
-Tender Analysis:
Detailed study of the technical, commercial, and legal terms of the project.
Identification of risks and opportunities associated with the tender.
Analysis of the technical and economic feasibility of the project.
-Preparation of Technical Proposals:
Preparation of technical reports, specifications, and execution plans.
Preliminary design of photovoltaic systems, including the selection of main equipment such as panels, inverters, and structures.
Coordination with engineering departments to ensure the accuracy and technical feasibility of the proposal.
-Costs and Budgets:
Preparation of cost estimates for equipment, materials, labor, and subcontracting.
Identification of suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes.
Optimization of design to reduce costs and maximize the economic competitiveness of the offer.
-Document Management:
Review and compilation of all documents required for bid submission.
Ensuring that the proposal meets the client's and tender's requirements.
-Economic and Commercial Analysis:
Development of financial models to analyze the profitability and return on investment of the project.
Preparation of competitive economic proposals aligned with internal policies and client expectations.
Negotiation of commercial terms and contracts if shortlisted.
-Schedule Management:
Creation of preliminary schedules for project execution, considering design, permits, construction, and commissioning phases.
Ensuring that key tender dates are met.
-Internal and External Coordination:
Collaboration with internal teams (engineering, legal, finance) to consolidate the proposal.
Direct communication with the client and potential partners (joint ventures or UTEs) to resolve doubts and align expectations.
-Proposal Presentation and Defense:
Preparation and delivery of presentations to explain and defend the proposal to the client.
Response to inquiries and clarification requests after bid submission.
-Lessons Learned and Continuous Improvement:
Analysis of awarded and non-awarded projects to identify areas for improvement.
Proposing strategies to increase the success rate in future tenders.
-Working hours: Monday to Friday: 40 hours weekly.
-Requirements:
A minimum of 4 years experience as a Proposal Engineer in Photovoltaic Plant projects or similar.
Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Civil Engineering or related.
