This position is for a software team lead who is self-motivated and leads their team by exemplifying a positive approach, strong work ethic, and taking ownership and accountability for their work.
Producing plans for execution of software tasks in support of program requirements within budget and schedule constraints
Providing accurate and timely status of budget, schedule, and technical issues
Managing software engineers assigned to the program, ensuring program milestones are met within cost and schedule constraints while maintaining focus on quality and customer needs. Coordinate with other program leadership to ensure appropriate engineers are assigned to the program.
Supporting other program leadership as required.
Managing all software tasks assigned to the program by planning tasking assignments, tracking tasks to closure, supporting software engineers on a day-to-day basis, and performing task decomposition as required.
Ensuring all program requirements are met, program risks are identified and mitigated, and company processes are followed by the software team.
Coordinating with other program leads to ensure program completes successfully.
Work in a team environment, throughout the lifecycle of the program, using either Waterfall or Agile methodologies
Qualifications and Education Requirements
BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required
A minimum of 10 years Software engineering experience
Experience supporting military or defense programs
Ability to apply sound engineering principles and develop innovative solutions
Demonstrated ability to design, develop, document, test and debug simulation software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions
Excellent communication skills including oral, written, interpersonal, and listening
Proven success in a fast-paced development environment and possess a willingness to take ownership, accept accountability, and thrive under pressure
Ability to provide and receive constructive criticism
Flexibility to support occasional overtime, weekend work, shift work and site travel (CONUS)
Active DoD Secret Clearance within a five-year investigation period

Experience with Aerodynamics design and RF Systems
Experience with Flight Simulation and/or Radar Systems
Familiarity with aircraft avionics 1553 protocol and simulator experience
Experience working in a production environment
Knowledge of different testing methodologies (e.g., White/Gray/Black box testing)
Prior Military Experience

Salary Range: $117,900 - $147,400
