The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for directing the organization's financial strategy, planning, and accounting functions. The CFO oversees financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and risk management, while managing relationships with financial stakeholders. This role contributes to strategic decision-making and ensures the company's financial integrity, profitability, and compliance with regulations.
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
Identify and implement strategies for growth, profitability, and cost management.
Oversee revenue cycle management, optimizing processes and payer contracting.
Manage investments, mergers, acquisitions, and evaluate financial risks.
Collaborate with the CEO on financial planning and long-term strategy.
Oversee accounting functions and ensure regulatory compliance.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
Establish financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Work with external auditors to prepare financial statements.
Ensure effective treasury and cash flow management.
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience within a healthcare organization required -- within a physician owned practice preferred.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
CPA or CMA preferred; healthcare financial certification (CHFP) is a plus.
Minimum five years of experience in financial management, with leadership experience in financial strategy and operations.
Strong knowledge of financial management, healthcare financial practices, and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software.
