Director, Patient Financial Services
Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President/Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Patient
Financial Services serves as a pivotal leader overseeing the financial heartbeat of Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital. This highly visible role is responsible for the strategic oversight and seamless management of all patient billing and collection processes, as well as the operations of Patient Access, including admitting, registration, financial counseling, insurance verification, point-of-service cash collections, and PBX services.
Leading a team of three experienced managers and a dedicated workforce of approximately 100 full-time employees (35 in Patient Financial Services and 65 in Patient Access), the Director ensures regulatory compliance while driving operational excellence. With an annual departmental budget of $5 million and responsibility for supporting hospital net revenues of $375 million, this leader will play a critical role in shaping the financial sustainability of the organization.

Experience/Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Management, Finance, or related business discipline
Minimum seven (7) years of recent experience in an acute hospital setting encompassing all aspects of patient billing, collection, and registration functions
Minimum of five (5) years recent management experience in a hospital setting
Certification, or training through, The Advisory Board, CHA, HFMA, NAHAM, etc.
Compensation
For the selected candidate, a complete and competitive compensation package will be offered which includes a target annual salary of $200k +- depending on experience, incentive bonus, major insurances, PTO, retirement, and relocation reimbursement.
