Position: Operations Analyst

Location: Denver, CO

Type: Contract

Rate: $40/hr to $46/hr

Overview:

The Operations Analyst will support Asset Servicing, which includes asset setup, trade data entry, corporate actions processing, reconciliation, pricing of equity and fixed income securities, and facilitating the fair valuation process. The primary responsibility will be processing derivative and fixed income trades in the accounting system. This role also offers opportunities for cross-training in other Asset Servicing functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process derivative and fixed income trade activity daily, including reconciliation and manual trade entries.
  • Collaborate with Fund Accounting and Portfolio Accounting to resolve discrepancies with counterparties and custodians.
  • Verify the accuracy of fixed income security masters and reconcile against various sources.
  • Ensure timely and accurate booking of income and position-based transactions.
  • Perform time-sensitive functions, gathering and verifying data in a high-volume environment.
  • Reconcile custody and third-party data against accounting system records.
  • Review and resolve pricing exceptions daily to maintain accuracy in security valuation.
  • Investigate and resolve complex operational issues.
  • Foster an energized and collaborative work environment.
  • Partner with global colleagues to ensure alignment in operations.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in the financial industry.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to drive solutions.
  • Strong interest in the financial services sector.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with 40 ACT mutual funds (back or middle office operations preferred).
  • Familiarity with various security types (equity, debt, private instruments, derivatives, etc.).
  • Proven ability to deliver accurate results under pressure.
