Ampcera is seeking a Battery Engineer with strong hands-on experience in battery materials processing/handling and cell fabrication.
Responsibilities
- Work with Battery Scientists/Engineers to support solid-state battery development efforts.
- Screen/validate electrode composition formulation and battery processing.
- Characterize battery materials and cells.
- Communicate experimental results to the battery development team.
Requirements
- B.S. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, and Chemistry or related fields.
- Capable of executing multiple tasks in a fast-paced working environment.
- Meticulous, organized, and self-motivated.
- Clear communication skills.
- Acute safety awareness.
- Pass drug test and criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with battery materials and electrochemistry.
- Familiarity with XRD, SEM, EDS, EIS, and battery cyclers.
- Experience working in a glovebox.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs. with the assistance of lift equipment or cart.
- Wear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to lab coats, gloves, safety glasses, masks, respirators, etc.
