What You'll Do
As a Buyer, you will cultivate strong supplier relationships, analyze data, and negotiate to achieve strategic goals. Your role ensures that quality, delivery, and cost objectives are met for both current and upcoming products while mitigating supply chain risks.
This position is primarily remote, with occasional travel to the main office and supplier sites. A hybrid schedule with biweekly office visits is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Negotiate pricing and design changes with suppliers.
Build and maintain robust supplier relationships, driving improvements in cost, quality, and service.
Collaborate across departments to align procurement with business needs.
Leverage data to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
Understand supplier manufacturing processes to ensure competitive pricing.
Monitor and improve supplier performance metrics.
Address supplier issues to maintain seamless operations.
Support production goals and recommend process enhancements.
Utilize project management skills for product and process development.
Ensure supplier compliance with company policies and agreements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, or related fields.
3+ years of procurement experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
Understanding of business operations, including financial and materials management.
Strong negotiation and cost analysis capabilities.
Proven ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
