About the Job We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper to join our Finance department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and make a significant impact on our financial operations. Your primary duties will include invoicing clients, reconciling accounts and updating our internal billing tracker, and following up on outstanding payments. Additionally, you will assist with general bookkeeping tasks, maintaining financial records, and supporting month-end close processes with our Finance department. Responsibilities: Generate and send invoices to clients based on services rendered. Ensure internal tracker is consistently and timely updated. Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments and send reminders via various channels. Partner closely with internal departments to resolve billing issues and ensure timely payment collection. Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted. Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes. Obtain new vendor paperwork, set up new vendors and maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information and payment records. Prepare and distribute monthly statements and reports. Assist with month-end closing processes, including validation and posting of all invoices and wires, reconciling accounts and expected revenue. Assist with Quarter-end and Year-end closing process including processing of 1099 paperwork. Provide support to the Finance team as needed, including data entry, filing, and record keeping. Work closely with finance department and business in processing payouts to artists. Uphold company policies and procedures regarding financial transactions and data privacy. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred 2-4 years experience in a similar role Solid understanding of basic accounting principles. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel. Experience with Quickbooks or related accounting software Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
