Position Summary

As the IT Support Administrator in our corporate office in Lisle, you will assist end-users on their IT-related issues. This person will have the ability to communicate, analyze, and solve their problems. The IT Support Administrator will have a high-level IT acumen to help streamline processes and procedures. This role will be part of a team that require the ability to work within the team as well as work independently on key projects. This is a full-time in-office position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ticketing System – First line defense of issues and requests for the site and be able to close tickets in a timely manner. Can troubleshoot, provide solutions, or delegate issues to other IT site administrators or escalate to proper IT teams to solve problems.
  • Onboarding new hires – Creating user accounts, build laptops using an imaging system, and work with managers and employees to streamline onboarding processes.
  • Asset Management – Maintain inventory records in our system including providing context of user equipment and upcoming equipment that will need to be replaced.
  • Endpoint Level hardware and software upgrades - Perform site-wide upgrades as needed with established procedures for installation and machine configuration.
  • IT Documentation – Document procedures, standards, best practices configuration, settings, and installation sequences.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity – Understand principles of backup solutions, restoring files, and facilitate end-user requests when needed.
  • Provide On-call support as needed as well as manage phones and printing support.
  • Ensure that that site maintains compliance to CTS Policies and Security Program.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Hands on experience using Windows 10 and 11 within a business environment.
  • Microsoft Office 365 experience including Teams, OneDrive, and Sharepoint required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with plant employees, office workers, and executives.
  • Experience with Active Directory Administration and Outlook/Exchange Administration.
  • Familiarity building endpoint imaging and demonstrate Windows and hardware updates.
  • Experience with Service Desk ticketing solutions.
  • Experience using remote tools to troubleshoot equipment off-site.
  • Basic understanding of DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Wi-Fi.
  • General understanding of backup strategies.
  • Print Server Administration.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of helpdesk experience troubleshooting required.
  • AA/BA in a computer related field OR computer certification – A+, MS 365 Admin preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer-service mindset, and the ability to excel in a team-oriented environment as well as being a self-starter.
  • Preferred having worked in a multi-site environment as we have a global presence.
  • Experience working with conference room equipment (Logitech Rally) preferred.

Physical/Working Conditions

  • Required to be on-site daily to assist users in-office as well remote support at other facilities.
  • Hours: M-F 7a-4p
  • Required to carry 50+ pounds to transport and install equipment.
  • Must be able to go up and down steps.
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels and use of chemicals.

The expected annual salary range for this position is $68,000-89,000.
