Job Title: Sr. Mechanical Engineer
Job Location: Kansas City, MO (Hybrid)
Salary: $120K to $140K base
Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and implementation of mechanical systems for our large healthcare facility build projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering principles, particularly in architectural environments, and will be responsible for ensuring that all projects meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for healthcare projects
Collaborate with architects and other engineers to integrate mechanical systems into building designs
Conduct analyses and calculations to support design decisions
Prepare and review technical documentation and specifications
Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards, including FGI guidelines
Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and team members
Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, but not required.
Fundamentals of Engineering exam preferred
5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering
Proficiency in mechanical design softwares such as Revit, Trace, or similar
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and their applications in architecture
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
