Role Description
We are seeking an experienced IoT Engineer to assist with the integration and optimization of a smart lock system used in our Cantaloupe Go Coolers. The role will focus on ensuring seamless communication between the lock, cooler system, and cloud infrastructure, with secure and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze the current smart lock system for integration into IoT ecosystems.
Develop firmware or middleware solutions for secure lock control and access logging.
Implement communication protocols (e.g., Zigbee, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi) between the lock and cloud services.
Design API integrations for remote access and control of the lock system.
Ensure compliance with IoT security standards (e.g., encryption, secure boot).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with IoT hardware (e.g., smart locks, access control systems).
Familiarity with communication protocols like Zigbee, MQTT, BLE, or similar.
Knowledge of embedded systems and IoT security best practices.
Proficiency in cloud platforms like Azure IoT Hub.
Additional Information: The lock system interfaces with the cooler's vending software, offering secure access and usage logging. Familiarity with Cantaloupe's technology stack or similar vending systems is a plus.
