Summary:
The primary role of a software engineer is to apply principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to design, develop, test, and evaluate software and systems that make computers function. A typical software engineer researches, designs, develops, and tests operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for various applications, including medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific, and general computing.
Job Responsibilities:
Review and approve modifications to existing databases and database management systems.
Instruct staff on writing and coding logical and physical database descriptions and specifying database identifiers for the management system.
Direct database development and approve project scope and limitations.
Review project requests to estimate time and cost required to meet database user needs.
Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification, or disclosure.
Approve, schedule, plan, and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems.
Develop standards and guidelines to guide the use and acquisition of software and protect vulnerable information.

In-depth knowledge of computer hardware and software.
Familiarity with computer development software as it relates to systems, such as SQL, VisualBasic, etc.
Experience with coding in C++ or other programming languages.
Interest in working on the server-side stack.
Prior experience working on AI or search engines.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field is required.
