Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical design and construction, a strong technical background, and the ability to lead projects and mentor junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Design & Development
  • Perform detailed design tasks, including heat loss/gain calculations, ventilation and exhaust systems, equipment selection, and hydronic system analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with mechanical, building, and energy codes.
  • Draft designs using Revit and/or AutoCAD.
  • Collaborate with architects, general contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the design team.

Project Administration
  • Manage submittals and RFIs, ensuring timely responses and resolution.
  • Communicate project schedule updates to senior management.
  • Delegate tasks to designers and engineers to optimize team performance.

Quality Control
  • Provide training and mentorship to designers and engineers.
  • Attend manufacturer-led training sessions and stay updated on industry standards.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure quality and adherence to project specifications.

Staff Development
  • Lead training initiatives for junior team members.
  • Participate in hands-on site visits and technical skill-building opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical design and construction.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience mentoring and training junior staff preferred.
  • Ability to manage priorities, work effectively under pressure, and maintain professionalism in all interactions.
