Job Summary:
Leads the Cat Digital Connectivity Compliance team by collaborating with internal and external partners to proactively identify regulations impacting Connectivity. Oversees the planning, organization and implementation of multiple and complex digital projects.
What You Will Do:
Manage the day-to-day activities of identifying upcoming regulations, assess impact of upcoming regulation on Caterpillar connected solutions.
Direct, collaborate, and motivate process partners to interpret the regulatory requirements and then translate it to technical requirements.
Execute and/oversee projects to be in compliance to avoid loss of market accessibility. Develop contingency plans for potential risks.
Identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; assist with developing corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and providing general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future
Planned and ad-hoc communications of findings/risks to stakeholders
What You Will Have: Planning: Tactical, Strategic:
Develops, refines, and communicates tactical plans for own responsibilities.
Provides the right level of detail as input for strategic plan development.
Ensures attention to the detail and dependencies of existing departmental-level plans.
Plans for allocation of resources in line with unit goals, technical and business objectives.
Project Administration:
Reports dependencies, conflicts, and completion date status to project management team.
Develops cost-benefit analysis; tracks and reviews actual costs vs. planned.
Makes sure project problems are surfaced and reported to appropriate project personnel.
Implements planned and ad-hoc communications to and from affected parties.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking:
Differentiates assumptions, perspectives, and historical frameworks.
Evaluates past decisions for insights to improve decision-making process.
Assesses and validates decision options and points and predicts their potential impact.
Advises others in analyzing and synthesizing relevant data and assessing alternatives.
Data Gathering and Reporting:
Prepares cost-benefit analyses of alternative approaches.
Teaches others the calculations necessary to capture data and develop more complex reports.
Oversees multiple information-gathering and analysis initiatives.
Considerations For Top Candidates:
Good communication and networking skills
Knowledge of Caterpillar telematics and its associated data flow
Program and team leadership experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Management

Summary Pay Range: $144,960.00 - $217,320.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
