Caterpillar has an exciting opportunity available for a Material Requirements Planning Manager located at our Corinth, Mississippi Remanufacturing site! In this role, you will maintain agreed-upon inventory levels to provide a flow of raw materials and components from the supply chain to the manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
• Ensuring that the environment of the inventory stock room is in line with requirements for each product.
• Managing staffing, development, and performance management of materials management workers. Ensuring proper labor relations.
• Maintaining optimal inventory levels. Performing inventory analysis and making recommendations for stock levels.
• Coordinating maintenance and support of inventory management software.
Degree Requirement
Degree or equivalent experience desired
Information Capture: Knowledge of the methods, channels and processes to obtain needed information; ability to identify, capture and document relevant business information in an auditable, organized, understandable and easily retrievable manner.
Level Working Knowledge:
• Follows defined procedures to document all routine information.
• Identifies relevant established standards, policies and practices.

• Maintains item and inventory management records.
• Helps minimize bottlenecks and delays and the resulting impact on operating costs.
• Uses real-time inventory software, with guidance, to move supplies where needed, when needed.
• Assists in resolving issues related to physical space management.
Inventory Management: Knowledge of processes and methods of inventory management; ability to effectively manage organization's materials, commodities, merchandises, or products.
Level Working Knowledge:
• Performs the receiving, ticketing, checking in and distributing of inventory items for a specific location.
• Produces basic inventory management reports for senior staff to reconcile the inventory balances.
• Tracks inventory information for a specific product group or location.
• Works with basic tasks of inventory management for a specific location.
• Follows processes to take stock, release inventory or return into processing; resolves discrepancies.
Logistics Management: Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials; ability to understand, predict and control the movement of goods, materials and supplies.
Level Working Knowledge:
• Uses tools, with guidance, to forecast delivery times, determine costs and assess performance.
• Works with logistics in a domestic environment.
• Maintains records of all shipments and invoices using an established system.
• Assists in the development of process flows to track lead time by activity.
• Participates in integrating logistics processes and developing effective networks.
Supply Chain Management: Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and implement strategies, practices and tools for controlling the whole processes.
Level Working Knowledge:
• Recognizes software systems or components used to manage supply chain.
• Participates in supply chain analysis and uses it to spot trends and improvement opportunities.
• Discusses considerations for integrating partner and supplier transactions.
• Summarizes supply chain considerations for different types of products.
• Works with a specific part of supply chain management process.
