Role Description:

We are seeking a forward-thinking Software Development Manager to lead our engineering team into the next era of AI-powered software development. As we continue our transformation into an AI-first engineering culture, this role will be pivotal in guiding the development of high-performance, scalable applications while leveraging AI as a core part of our development process. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of developers to build and optimize web and mobile applications, integrating AI-driven tools for code generation, testing, and performance optimization.
  • Oversee and improve AI-first development workflows, ensuring AI is integrated throughout the software lifecycle-from planning and coding to deployment and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and QA to create seamless, AI-enhanced user experiences.
  • Drive continuous improvement by exploring and implementing new AI technologies and development methodologies.
  • Mentor and grow a team of developers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions, including AI demos, workshops, and code reviews, to ensure best practices are being followed.
  • Evaluate and implement AI-assisted development tools, ensuring the team's productivity and the quality of the product remains high.
  • Promote a collaborative, transparent environment where AI tools are treated as valued team members, and human creativity is amplified by AI.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong experience with modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., JavaScript, React, Node.js, etc.).
  • Comfort with AI-assisted development environments and tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, etc.).
  • Experience in managing and mentoring engineering teams, with a track record of driving successful software projects.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their applications in software development.
  • Proven ability to break down complex technical problems and translate them into actionable, AI-friendly tasks.
  • Solid understanding of agile development processes and the ability to adapt AI-first workflows to fit team needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical, to collaborate across teams.
  • Passion for innovation and a drive to explore new technologies that can enhance the software development process.
