Our Network Engineers provide white glove customer service during crisis situations and interact directly with our customers
This role may include working extended hours on nights and weekends. Extended work hours may occur more often in the first couple of weeks of training in order to get the new hire integrated with the team and up to speed on projects. Outside of this initial training period, extended work hours may be necessary to update systems outside of "normal" business hours, troubleshoot obstacles, and resolve issues. This role includes an on-call rotation every 3 weeks until the team gets a 4th Network Engineer, which the business may be looking to do in the future. (We are still only looking to hire 1 headcount right now).
This role is open for remote work but if we hire someone local, a reminder that we are an in-office first company, and this position will be out of our Overland Park office. We allow hybrid work with no set days employees are required to come in. Expectation is completely in-office during first few months, then in office at least 3 days a week following training.
We are open to remote for this role as long as the candidate lives in a state that we already operate in: Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, Texas, or Tennessee
Candidates must have experience designing networks. They also must have experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet, and with layer 2/3 routing/switching. Experience with AWS is a huge plus.
Ideal candidate has had formal network training (with some sort of certification - CCNA, CCNP)
