Seneca Resources is looking for an O&M Application Support Specialist in multiple locations!
Position Overview: O&M Application Support Specialist
Locations: San Antonio, TX, St. Louis, MO, or Arlington, VA.
Eligibility & Clearance:
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR) with a minimum of three consecutive years of residency.
Must be tax compliant and meet any applicable Selective Service requirements.
Active IRS MBI clearance is preferred but not mandatory.
This position is focused on Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support for IRS applications and systems. The primary responsibility is to provide hands-on technical support and management across various aspects of application performance, updates, and integration. The role combines application support, client communication, system upgrades, and development tasks, making it critical for maintaining and improving IRS-related applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Interaction & Status Updates:
Act as the point of contact for client updates on O&M activities.
Provide timely communication regarding application performance and planned upgrades.
Application Maintenance:
Monitor and resolve technical issues.
Maintain system reliability by managing fixes, patches, and updates.
Technical Coordination:
Collaborate with Cloud Platform, CI/CD, and downstream integration teams.
Manage Jenkins pipelines for code deployment and integration.
Development Support:
Write and update code for various systems, microservices, and scripts using technologies like JavaScript, ReactJS, NextJS, NodeJS, and Python.
Utilize AWS services such as Lambda and API Gateway for cloud-based development.
System Architecture and Scheduling:
Define architecture solutions and business processes.
Develop implementation plans for upgrades or fixes.
Manage schedules and ensure project timelines are met.
Documentation & Training:
Maintain technical documentation and provide customized training to teams for system usage and updates.
Skills Required:
Technical:
Proficiency in JavaScript (ReactJS, NodeJS, NextJS), Python, CSS, and AWS (Lambda, API Gateway).
Expertise with Jenkins pipelines and Bitbucket for version control.
Familiarity with Jira for task tracking and Agile methodologies.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and cross-functional teams.
Problem-solving skills to address and resolve technical challenges effectively.
