Job Description:

Summary/Objective

The Director of Operations will oversee the day-to-day activities of the company, ensuring that the organization is managed and performing efficiently and effectively.

Essential Functions
  • Oversee the procurement of all goods, supplies, and services.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency.
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate operational procedures to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and manage production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Plan, direct, and control budgets and expenses to achieve financial objectives.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market trends and competitive landscape.
  • Manage supplier relationships and resolve any outstanding issues.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of operations professionals.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize workflows and improve overall business performance.

Specific Skills Required
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Superior analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Proficiency with ERP systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of global supply chain management.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Oversee a team of 100+ employees, ensuring safety, quality, and production targets are met.
  • Participate in the hiring and training of departmental managers.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Hours of Work
  • Full-time, non-exempt position.
  • Standard work hours are generally 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
